Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the way THU wants to manage its business processes to produce an overall positive impact on society.

Thus, we are not only committed to be in compliance with national and international laws in labour, environmental protection and Humans Rights, we also have engaged in many voluntary actions to improve the quality of life of our employees, the communities where we operate and the society as a whole.

THU is aware of the importance and responsibility of contributing to human respect and dignity. That is why, we work to promote and ensure the protection of Human Rights for all the people with whom we have a relationship, both in Spain and other countries.

We work continuously to ensure we are a sustainable and responsible business model with its environment and its stakeholders. At the beginning of this process, a diagnosis was made to identify areas where new actions are needed or existing actions strengthened.

The result of all of this is our Code of Ethics, which consists of 10 principles based on the United Nations Global Compact and the principles of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our Code of Ethics aims to formalize aspects related to the daily performance of each person who is a part of THU in such way that we continue to act under the same principles and values, ensuring a good governance of the Company’s activities. THU is committed to implementing or developing policies and actions to ensure its full implementation for both present and future generations.

This Code of Ethic is applicable to all persons of THU, in its dealing with clients, public and private authorities, partners, competitors, subcontractors and suppliers of goods and services, communities or any other collective everywhere we are.

Support and respect of Human Rights

THU has established policies and procedures that help to identify, prevent, mitigate, and remedy the effects that may result from the violation of Human rights

THU believes that all our collaborators should be treated with dignity and respect.
We provide equal opportunities to apply and be selected for posts and to be promoted, and prohibits discrimination based on race, politic opinion, religion, disability, nationality, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, or any or any other characteristic.

Avoiding complicity in Human Rights Violations

THU is committed to making reasonable efforts to avoid causing or contributing to adverse human rights impacts that may arise from our operations, products, services and business relationships.

Supporting freedom of association and collective bargaining

At THU, we recognize the worker rights to unionize, and we join to promote and defend their interest and collective bargaining as it is stipulate in national and international laws.

THU endeavors to create appealing workplaces that make it possible to people to work in diverse ways, while encouraging employees to take new challenges and pursuing greater employee engagement.

We provide open communication, allowing workers to talk easily to management at any level, exchanging ideas, troubles or issues, and work together to prevent labour conflicts.

Eliminating and preventing all forms of forced or compulsory labour

THU is committed to obeying and applying legal national and international requirements regarding the elimination and prevention of forced labour, in all its activities and relationships; and guarantees that anyone who works for the company do it on voluntary basis.

THU works diligently to ensure that employee’s work hours, extra hours, benefits and salaries are respected; that the employments contract establishes the terms and conditions of the service, the voluntary nature of the employment and the right to terminate employment contract voluntarily, complying with the law of each country where the company operates.

Eliminating of all forms of Child Labour

THU strictly prohibits the use of Child Labour. THU will not use Child Labour, neither incorporate it at any goods or services in its operations and we will assure the compliance of International Labour Organization (OLI) legislation. The employment of young people, who are not included in the definition of child labor, must also comply with all the laws and implementing provisions for said people. Employees and suppliers are required to follow this principle.

Promoting diversity and inclusion through workplace

THU ensures equal access to opportunities, respect of employment and occupation without discrimination on any ground as race, color, gender identity, disability, religion, political opinions, ethnic origin or any other situation protected by local laws from countries where we operate.

THU is committed to implement inclusive labour practices related to employment contracts, promotions, training, remuneration and benefits, based only on qualification, performance, competence and the experience of the persons with whom we have relationship.

Supporting a precautionary approach about the environment

THU takes the environment into consideration, and is committed to obeying environmental laws and regulations to minimize the impact that THU activities can have on employee health and wellbeing.

The company is committed to implementing best practices that reflect our environmental and sustainability concerns. Employees and public in general are required to equally demonstrate their own commitment and continual improvement.

Working against corruption in all its forms

THU promotes the fight against corruption, both inside and outside the company through the operations developed. THU is also committed to obeying ethical and moral rules of conduct according to the laws of each country in which we operate. In addition, we will work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.

Workplace health and safety

THU provides a safe and healthy workplace to its employees, without violence, bullying, intimidation or disrespect. We are committed to continuously updating prevention and control measures, providing a suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) to our staff that will protect them against health or safety risks at work, developing trainings programs and creating processes of implementation concerning legal norms. THU expects that the occupational health and safety of employees is a priority for partner companies, subcontractors or suppliers through-out all significant aspects of its activities.

Social responsibility and future generations

THU is committed to implementing Corporate Social Responsibility as business model going further than legal obligations and permitting to develop a process of reflection, continuous improvement and a challenge for competitiveness and sustainability, based on values and principles which are regulated by the fulfillment of Human Rights.

Through the CSR policy, THU promotes the management of a transparent and participatory company, where business relationships, the quality of the employment and decision making are focused on social, economic and environmental impact and sustainability.
